At The Chequers at Westoning we like to think we offer something a little bit different to our customers whilst still maintaining a cosy traditional pub atmosphere.

We want you to enjoy your pint, a glass of wine, or even just a comforting cup of tea or coffee in relaxed, friendly surroundings. Also grab a bite to eat, some nibbles, a “light bite” or a delicious three course meal.
A traditional country pub where old fashioned styles mix with modern trends. Family friendly, dog friendly and above all community friendly. The Chequers at Westoning offers a home from home with something on offer for everyone.
We love our food and drink and take pride in the quality products we sell. We go to great lengths (through arduous tasting and sampling!) to ensure that what goes on your plate and in your glass is truly worth having. We buy locally, if the local produce is the best, and what we have found we think is pretty darn good! Our Veg Man is from Bedford and supplies us straight from the markets of Covent Garden and our Butcher is located just across the road.
Please take a look at our menus and don’t forget that we also feature a number of dishes on our Specials Boards throughout the week so that you can choose from even more dishes made from the very freshest and best produce available.
At The Chequers we love all things British but are also keen to explore Continental flavours. Our food is an inspiring blend of time-honoured favourites, with a creative Chequers twist.
Our drinks collection offers a good mix between those you’ll recognise and others which are a little different but well worth a try!
We have an excellent selection of wines available by the glass and bottle together with quality cask ales for you to savour. We take great pride in the quality of our draught beers, ciders and cask ales and we endeavour to serve you with a perfect pint every time.
Our range of Spirits is extensive and we also have a fine range of Whiskeys and Bourbons for you to sample.

Bring your pooch for a festive dog walk around Westoning. We will be heading off at 10am for a stroll through the fields. £5 per person (includes a hot drink) with all money being donated to KEECH HOSPICE CARE!

Come and enjoy some retail therapy at The Chequers and enjoy some live singing from Cara Bo! Don’t forget to book yourself in for a Sunday Lunch!
Saturday 16th December from 1pm
Join us for an afternoon of wine tasting and a bite to eat. £29.90 per person includes tasting of 6 wines and an antipasto style lunch.

Join us for our annual Carol Service around the BIG tree in the Courtyard. We will be raising money for Keech Hospice Care with our charity raffle and having a good old fashioned sing song.
We will be open from 11am til 1pm for Christmas Day drinks.
Come along with your family for a quick drink to celebrate the day.
This is the night just for you, do what you want to do!
We don’t have an expensive set menu on New Years Eve, instead we have our regular menus and some extra specials. This means that you can enjoy the night your way. So get dressed up or don’t, have a full 3 course meal or just a pizza, the choice is yours and so is the night. We will of course be turning the music up as we get to midnight. Bookings are essential
Excellent dining experience. Covid and social distancing rules were fully in force and strictly adhered to. The staff were very professional and polite throughout our visit giving clear snd informative instructions on covid protection. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by all 4 of our party and I could recommend this establishment for quality fine dining. Tim Harris

The Chequers is located in the heart of Westoning Village.
Situated on the main road at the crossroads, and just across from our excellent local Butcher. We are just 2 miles from Junction 12 of the M1, 15 minutes from Luton, and 25 minutes from both Milton Keynes and from Bedford.
